Partnerships - 1000 Towns of Canada
Help travellers find your part of Canada
1000 Towns of Canada is a travel guide to small-town Canada. We work with local tourism groups to give your community a featured town page, a place on our map and a travel guide, so travellers can see it, plan the trip and get there.
- Free preview first

Why it works
Town page, map, guide and newsletter, all in one place
An ad alone sends people to a page. We give them a reason to come: a town page that welcomes them, a map that shows the way, a guide that plans the trip and a friendly newsletter that tells the story. Google search ads bring more people to all four.
How it works
Five simple steps
- Say hello
- See a free preview
- Agree on the details
- We build it together
- Travellers find you
Would you like to present this to your board?
Most groups decide together. We’re glad to join a short call with your board, or send you a one-page summary you can share at your next meeting.
What people say
Loved by small-town Canadians
"I think 1000 Towns of Canada is a great initiative. I’m enjoying reading about some of the other towns you’re adding to the site. Great work on a big job! It brings us all closer."
— Michael Trawick, Ladysmith, British Columbia
"I have only lived in Paris 10 years and this was some good information on 1000 Towns. Some places and facts I knew about, but I did learn more about our town. Thank you."
— Gwen Brewer, Paris, Ontario
"My husband and I took a trip up the Nackawic Stream as far as we could go with a small boat. It was beautiful. Saw eagles & nest. Found a rock for a picnic. Perfect for a canoe or a kayak."
— Kelly Sherwood Blakeney, Nackawic, New Brunswick
Common questions
Is our town already on 1000 Towns?
A. Very likely. We’ve mapped 995 small towns, and every listing is free. If you partner with us, we update your page together with you and move it into our featured design, then add your logo, a travel guide, a newsletter feature and advertising.
Our town already has a page. Will you still update it?
A. Yes. Every package includes a featured town page. We refresh the content with your help (your photos, local tips and events) so travellers see your community at its best.
Do we need any technical skills?
A. No. We build the town page, the map and the guide, and we run the ads. You check the details, like opening dates and hours, before anything goes live.
Can we share the cost with a neighbouring community?
A. Yes. Two or more groups can split one package. Each partner gets a featured town page and its logo on the map.
Are we signing a long contract?
A. No. It’s a simple one-page agreement for one campaign. There are no automatic renewals.
We already work with our regional tourism group. Is this different?
A. Yes, and it works alongside what they do. We show your community by name on a national travel guide, to travellers who may not have known about you.
Can we see something before we decide?
A. Yes. Tell us about your community and we’ll send a free preview of your town page and map. There’s no cost and no obligation.
